Browns sign TE Anthony Ezeakunne

The Cleveland Browns on Saturday signed tight end Anthony Ezeakunne (pronounced easy-ahh-KU-nay). General Manager Ray Farmer made the announcement.

In addition, the club waived tight end Manasseh Garner.

Ezeakunne is a 6-4, 245-pound undrafted rookie out of Chapman University. He appeared in 25 career games at Chapman and finished the 2014 season with 12 catches for 122 yards and one touchdown, while helping the team to a SCIAC-leading 256.6 rushing yards per game. A native of Wilmington, Calif., Ezeakunne graduated from West Torrance High School.

Garner was signed on Aug. 9.

The Browns roster is currently at the maximum of 90 players.
