The Browns crossed state lines in their preparations for tonight's preseason matchup with the Buffalo Bills, and our camera crew was there to follow every move.
Behind-the-scenes footage and exclusive interviews from the team's joint practices in Pittsford, N.Y., provide the backbone for this week's episode of "Building the Browns," which airs tonight at 7 p.m. on WEWS NewsChannel 5.
Among the highlights from this week's episode: Interviews with Browns coach Mike Pettine and special teams coordinator Chris Tabor about the makeup of this year's special teams units, a one-on-one with Buffalo coach Rex Ryan -- who coached alongside Pettine for more than a decade -- Browns rookies reacting to their NFL debut and a mic'd up Christian Kirksey.
"Building the Browns" leads right into WEWS NewsChannel 5's Browns pregame show at 7:30 p.m. Kickoff at FirstEnergy Stadium is set for 8 p.m.
Pregame radio coverage begins at 4 p.m. on ESPN 850 WKNR and will follow after the game on 92.3 The Fan WKRK. Ken Carman and Jerod Cherry will co-host from 4 p.m. - 6 p.m. Tony Rizzo and Matt Wilhelm will join Carman from 6 p.m. - 7 p.m. and Dustin Fox will take Carman's place from 7 p.m. - 7:50 p.m.
The two-hour post-game show, hosted by Jeff Phelps and Fox on The Fan, will include live coverage of Pettine's post-game press conference and interviews from the locker room.
A replay of "Building the Browns" will air at 11 a.m. on Sunday and will be followed by a live edition of Dawg Pound Report on WEWS NewsChannel 5.
