Denzel Ward earns 2nd NFL Rookie of the Week honor

Denzel Ward has been named the NFL Rookie of the Week for the second time in five weeks.

Ward, who earned the honor in Week 1, turned in another strong performance in Sunday's win over the Ravens with an interception, three pass breakups and a blocked field goal that proved crucial in a game that came down to the wire.

Ward, the former Ohio State standout and fourth overall pick, beat out teammate and quarterback Baker Mayfield, Patriots running back Sony Michel, Giants running back Saquon Barkley and Saints wide receiver Tre'Quan Smith.

Browns players — Ward (Weeks 1 and 5), Mayfield (Week 3) and running back Nick Chubb (Week 4) — have won four of the five possible awards, including three straight.

Ward leads the Browns and is tied for the NFL lead with three interceptions this season.
