In the Week five High School Game of the Week presented by Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) matchup Nordonia Knights will host the Hudson Explorers. The atmosphere will be electric as the Nordonia Knights celebrate their homecoming game this week, but the Explorers will look to spoil the big dance for the Knights. Hudson will go into week five with a 1-3 record while Nordonia enters the game with a 3-1 record on the season.

The Knights of Nordonia started this season off on a good note. Through the first three weeks of play, Nordonia found themselves sitting at a 3-0 record. This was a big improvement over last year when it took them eight weeks to reach two wins on the season. The Knights had something to prove last week when they played the Wadsworth Grizzlies. The matchup would be Nordonia's first conference matchup this season and they wanted to go into conference play on a good note. The Grizzlies had that same feeling. After a battle between the two powerhouses, the Knights found themselves tied with the Grizzlies at halftime. Both teams came out strong in the second half, but the late surge in the fourth quarter gave the Grizzlies the win and sent the Knights home with their first loss on the season. Now head coach, Jeff Fox, looks to get his team back on track as they host Hudson for their second conference matchup.

The Explorers however found themselves on the winning side last week against their opponent. The Explorers traveled to Broadview Heights to take on the Brecksville – Broadview Heights Bees for their rivalry matchup in week four. The Explorers completed a shutout against the Bees to win the game 27-0. Not only was this the first conference win for Hudson, it was also the first win of the season for the Explorers. Hudson's quarterback, Liam Brennan led the team to a victory by going 19 of 29 passing for 248 total yards and 3 touchdowns. The defense got the job done on the other side of the ball by only allowing 93 total yards on offense to the Bees. Now this defense faces it's toughest task this week as they take on the explosive offense of the Nordonia Knights.

Good luck to both teams and stay tuned for a post-game report.
