Myles Garrett named 2025 AP NFL Defensive Player of the Year | In Focus

DE Myles Garrett was officially named the AP Defensive Player of the Year at the NFL Honors. It is the second time in his career he has won Defensive Player of the Year after being nominated as a finalist for three consecutive seasons and winning in 2023. Garrett's 2025 season was historic, as he broke the NFL single-season sack record with 23 sacks, and led the NFL in tackles for loss.

Carson Schwesinger named 2025 AP Defensive Rookie of the Year | In Focus

LB Carson Schwesinger was officially named the AP Defensive Rookie of the Year at the NFL Honors. Schwesinger led all rookies this season with 146 tackles and 11 tackles for loss, and was tied for second with two interceptions. He recorded double-digit tackles in seven games during the 2025 season, including a stretch of six consecutive games – the longest streak in the NFL this season. His seven double-digit tackle games were the most among NFL rookies.

Browns' defensive line dominates in Week 12 | In Focus

Check out photos of the defensive line's performance against the Raiders in Week 12, in which the defensive line recorded 8.5 of the Browns' 10 sacks on QB Geno Smith. DE Myles Garrett led the team with three sacks - and set a new franchise record for most sacks in a single season at 18 - while DT Maliek Collins recorded a career-high 2.5 sacks. They also added 17 quarterback hits as a unit on Smith, and 10 tackles for loss in their efforts to stop the run.
