Biography
- Jeff Blakso re-joined the Browns coaching staff as run game coordinator/tight ends coach in 2026. He previously served as assistant offensive line coach in 2019.
- During his first stint with the Browns, he helped an offensive line that paved the way for RB Nick Chubb, who finished second in the NFL with 1,494 rushing yards. G Joel Bitonio was a second team All-Pro honoree and selected to the Pro Bowl.
- Spent 2025 as the Jets tight ends coach after five seasons with the Cowboys, where he served as the assistant offensive line coach (2020-22) before being promoted to run game coordinator/running backs coach (2023-24). From 2021-24, the Cowboys produced 1,000-yard rushers in Ezekiel Elliott (2021), Tony Pollard (2022-23) and Rico Dowdle (2024). G Zack Martin was a first team All-Pro selection from 2021-23 and earned three Pro Bowl selections. T Tyron Smith was selected to the Pro Bowl in 2021 and G Tyler Smith was selected to the Pro Bowl in 2024. In 2021, the Cowboys led the NFL in total offense (407.0 yards per game).
- Broke into the NFL with the Packers in 2016 as a coaching administrator and was elevated to assistant offensive line coach from 2017-18. Helped T David Bakhtiari earn first team All-Pro honors in 2018 and second team honors in 2016 and 2017.
- Prior to the NFL, spent eight years in the college coaching ranks. Started with a three-year stint (2008-10) as a graduate assistant at Akron and then moved to Florida in 2011 as the offensive quality control coach. Also assisted Kansas (2012-14) and the University of Pennsylvania (2015) as the tight ends coach.
- Coached on the high school level for six seasons, serving as an offensive assistant at Steel Valley in Munhall, Pa., from 2002-05 and as an offensive assistant at Bethel Park (Pa.) from 2006-07.
- A native of Pittsburgh, Pa., Blasko graduated from Robert Morris University with a bachelor's degree in information sciences in 2005 and earned a master's degree in sports administration from Akron in 2009.
- Blasko and his wife, Katie, have two sons, Tommy and Cooper.
