The Browns brought back a piece of their history when they featured the white facemasks once in each of the past two seasons. They first wore them against the Ravens in Week 15 in 2022, and then again against the Steelers in Week 11 during the 2023 season.

The Browns first featured the white facemasks from the 1975-1995 era of the team, and again from 1999-2005. The white facemask was associated with the Kardiac Kids, the Bernie Kosar era and the team's return to Cleveland as an expansion franchise.
