Browns awarded Shane Wynn via waivers

The Cleveland Browns on Friday were awarded wide receiver Shane Wynn via waivers from Atlanta and waived WR Paul Browning. General Manager Ray Farmer made the announcement.

Wynn, a 5-6, 167-pound rookie from Indiana, joins the Browns after spending the offseason with the Falcons, who signed him as an undrafted free agent following the 2015 NFL Draft. A native of Cleveland, Ohio, the Glenville High School product played in 48 games with 36 starts and finished his Hoosier career tied for second in receptions (189), seventh in receiving yards (2,189) and tied for third in receiving touchdowns (20) in school history, as well as third in kick return yards (1,854), fourth in all-purpose yards (4,429) and tied for eight in total touchdowns (25).

After participating in the Browns' rookie minicamp on May 8-10 on a tryout basis, Browning signed with Cleveland on May 11 as an undrafted free agent from Colorado State-Pueblo.
