Browns claim OL Anthony Fabiano and OL Avery Gennesy

The Cleveland Browns have claimed OL Anthony Fabiano via waivers from Indianapolis and OL Avery Gennesy via waivers from Jacksonville. To make room on the roster, the team waived P Michael Carrizosa and OL Christian Schneider.

Fabiano is 6-1, 303 pounds and entering his second NFL season out of Harvard. Originally signed by Baltimore as an undrafted free agent in 2016, Fabiano has appeared in nine career games with two starts. He appeared in four games with one start with the Browns in 2016 and was waived during final roster cuts in 2017. He appeared in five games with one start with the Colts last year and also spent time on the Redskins, Giants and Patriots practice squads. He is a native of Wakefield, Mass.

Gennesy is 6-5, 318 pounds and officially entering his first NFL season out of Texas A&M. He entered the league as an undrafted free agent with the Jaguars last year and spent part of the season on their practice squad. He is a native of Southaven, Miss. 

Carrizosa was signed as an undrafted free agent on May 4. Schneider was signed as a free agent on Jan. 31.
