Browns interview Jacksonville assistant head coach Doug Marrone

The Cleveland Browns on Thursday interviewed Jacksonville Jaguars assistant head coach/offensive line coach Doug Marrone for the team's head coach opening.

Marrone is the third candidate to be interviewed. Detroit defensive coordinator Teryl Austin and Bears offensive coordinator Adam Gase met with the search committee Wednesday.

Marrone met with the Browns' five-person search committee, which includes owners Jimmy and Dee Haslam, executive vice president of football operations Sashi Brown, chief strategy officer Paul DePodesta and Korn/Ferry International consultant Jed Hughes.
