Browns make roster moves

The Cleveland Browns on Monday waived linebacker Jayson DiManche and defensive back De'Ante Saunders. In addition, the club signed offensive lineman Garth Gerhart to the practice squad.

Gerhart is 6-1, 310 pounds and officially in his second NFL season out of Arizona State. He re-joins the Browns after initially signing with the club as an undrafted free agent in 2012 and spent that season on the club's practice squad. He also spent the first four weeks on Cleveland's practice squad this season. Gerhart appeared in two games with the Packers last season. His brother, Toby, is a running back for the Jaguars. A native of Corona, Calif., Gerhart graduated from Norco High School.

DiManche appeared in one game and was inactive for two after signing with the team on Oct. 20.

Saunders was elevated from the practice squad on Nov. 4 and made his NFL debut as a reserve at Cincinnati.
