The Browns offense took a step forward in Sunday's loss to the Chiefs, and two rookies provided some of the biggest reasons for optimism.
Quarterback Baker Mayfield and running back Nick Chubb were both nominated for NFL Rookie of the Week after their respective performances against Kansas City.
Mayfield completed 29-of-42 passes for 297 yards, two touchdowns and an interception. Chubb rushed 22 times for 85 yards and a touchdown in the 37-21 loss.
Both players have won the award this season, and Mayfield's won it twice (Week 3, Week 7). Chubb took it home after Week 4 against the Raiders. Browns players have won the award five times in 2018.
Their competition this week is Falcons WR Calvin Ridley, Dolphins LB Jerome Baker and Bears LB Roquan Smith.
