Browns sign OL Erle Ladson to practice squad

The Cleveland Browns on Thursday signed OL Erle (pronounced EARL) Ladson to the practice squad. To make room on the roster, the team released QB Matt Blanchard from the practice squad.

Ladson is 6-6, 350-pounds and officially in his first NFL season out of Delaware. Originally signed by the Raiders as undrafted free agent in 2014, Ladson first signed with the Browns earlier this year on July 28 and spent Week 1 on the team's practice squad. He has also played in the Arena Football League. A native of New York City, he graduated from Cardinal Hayes High School.
