Browns sign Varmah Sonie

BEREA, Ohio -- The Cleveland Browns on Wednesday signed DB Varmah Sonie. General Manager Ray Farmer made the announcement.

Sonie is 5-8, 180-pounds and officially in his first NFL season out of Northern Iowa. He spent the final two weeks of the 2014 season on Tampa Bay's practice squad. The Burnsville, Minn. native also appeared in 17 games last year with the Portland Thunder of the Arena Football League and recorded nine interceptions.
