DETROIT -- With the amount of excitement in tonight's preseason-opener at Ford Field, you'd never guess the Cleveland Browns and Detroit Lions were only tied at six apiece.

All eyes are on Cleveland's quarterback competition. Brian Hoyer moved the football well, completing six of 14 passes for 92 yards. He led two drives that ended with Billy Cundiff field goals of 43 and 26 yards.

Rookie Duke Johnson Jr. made his NFL debut with 7:32 left in the second quarter. His first play was a six-yard pass to Anthony Armstrong. After a three yard run by Terrance West, Manziel was unable to convert a read-option scramble into a first down.

The defense has been led by linemen Armonty Bryant, who registered a sack and constant pressure on the Lions' quarterbacks.

We'll have much more after the game.
