As fans poured into the stadium Sunday enjoying the beautiful Cleveland fall weather, they were greeted by volunteers from the Greater Cleveland Food Bank who were collecting non-perishable food items and cash for those in need in the Greater Cleveland area. The annual Cleveland Browns First and Ten Food Drive supports the holiday efforts of the Food Bank and provides an opportunity for the Dawg Pound to give back and support others in their community. Those who donated at the signature game day annual food drive also received an official First and Ten orange wristband to show their commitment to the community. Volunteers from the Food Bank contributed their time to #give10 and help those in the community who can't afford to buy meals on their own. It was a collaborative effort that paid off in a very big way. Through the efforts of the Dawg Pound, over 24,000 meals will be able to be provided to those in need this holiday season.
The Cleveland Browns First and Ten initiative was established to inspire fans to volunteer in and help their communities throughout the world by volunteering for 10 hours each year. Through First and Ten, the Browns are the only NFL club to promote a long-term volunteering program that unifies the team and the Dawg Pound, with the goal of impacting Cleveland and every city across the globe. Join the First and Ten movement by taking the pledge and sharing your story on our website today! Use #give10 on Twitter and Instagram to share your stories and photos on social media.
