DB Justin Currie elevated to active roster; WR Kenny Britt waived

The Cleveland Browns have signed DB Justin Currie to the active roster from the practice squad. To make room on the roster, the team waived WR Kenny Britt.

Currie is 6-2, 212 pounds and officially in his second NFL season out of Western Michigan. He appeared in one game with the Browns this season. He was signed to the practice squad on Tuesday. Currie will wear No. 39.

Britt appeared in nine games and recorded 18 receptions for 233 yards and two touchdowns.
