Arby's Foundation presents Stay in the Game! Network with $100,000 grant
Through the Stay in the Game! Network, the Cleveland Browns Foundation and Arby's Foundation celebrated Maple Heights City School District and John F. Kennedy Elementary School's faculty, teachers and students for their commitment to improving attendance and student engagement. During the event, the Arby's Foundation presented the Stay in the Game! Network with a $100,000 grant to support attendance interventions at multiple partner school districts, including Maple Heights City school district, that keep students in school and learning.

Browns partner with Women's Football Alliance for a free all-girls Football Clinic
The Cleveland Browns teamed up with the Women's Football Alliance to host a free all-girls football clinic in Canton, Ohio on July 23rd. The participants, ranging from middle school to high school, engaged in a variety of football drills taught by All-Americans from the Women's Football Alliance.

The new Cleveland Browns Youth Football Camp – "Under the Bright Lights", in association with University Hospitals, is designed to introduce young players to the basics of offensive and defensive football. This non-contact instructional camp will concentrate on the fundamentals of each position and the skills that go along with the game. Participants will get the opportunity to be coached by local high school coaches, participate in challenges and experience once-in-a-lifetime activities "Under the Bright Lights" at FirstEnergy Stadium

The Cleveland Browns' commitment to spreading the joy and excitement of football made its way down to Obetz, Ohio for the Fortress Obetz Youth Football Camp on June 23, 2021. The Cleveland Browns Youth Football Camp Series, in association with University Hospitals, hosted more than 250 participants at FirstEnergy Stadium over the course of 3 days. Boys and girls between the ages of 7-13 participated in football skill building drills and flag football games.

Browns break ground on 11th field project at Archbishop Hoban High School
The Cleveland Browns and Archbishop Hoban celebrated the implementation of two high-quality synthetic turf fields at Wentz Financial Family Fields, the team's 11th field installment in past five years. Since May of 2016, the Haslam and Johnson families and Browns Give Back have been dedicated to providing Ohio communities with new field surfaces, focused on enhanced educational opportunities by promoting student engagement through youth and high school football, additional sports and other activities.

Hats Off To Our Heroes: Donald Bloom
This week's hero is Don Bloom, the head custodian at Akron Public Schools. When the pandemic began, Don not only took on the sole responsibility of cleaning the school to make it safe for students and staff, he also volunteered to pass out breakfast and lunch to kids in the neighborhood that needed help when the school was shut down.

This week's hero is Holly Miller, the Director of Nursing at Crawford Manor, who gave up her wedding day to care for her patients. Holly works primarily with the elderly in the nursing home and works all hours around the clock to care for them.
Hats Off To Our Heroes: Cathy Davis
This week's hero is Cathy Davis, the Administrator for Northern Ohio Recovery Association. Cathy wears many hats and has helped manage to keep the food pantry open during the pandemic, despite the uptick in individuals needing assistance, whether it be from food, mental health or addiction. Cathy mentors the youth by teaching them job skills and helps court appointees reduce their fines by volunteering at NORA. Cathy does a little bit of it all to help those in need.

This week's hero is Nick Frank, a registered nurse at University Hospitals. When the pandemic began, Nick not only had to deal with COVID-19 at work, but also at home, when his 1.5 year old tested positive for the virus. After his recovery, his wife started showing symptoms and Nick stayed home to take care of the household while his wife recovered. Nick not only helped his family through COVID, but numerous others as well.

This week's hero is Kelsey Lesniak, a Clinical Research Specialist at University Hospitals. When the COIVD-19 pandemic began, Kelsey stepped up to the plate to lead two important clinical trials that helped obtain valuable data to help diagnose, treat and prevent COVID-19.

On Saturday October 17th 2020, as part of the Browns' Crucial Catch initiative, the Browns presented Tributes at Twilight, a visual driving experience at FirstEnergy stadium in partnership with the American Cancer Society. Also, Linebacker Jacob Phillips dedicates a luminary to a loved one.
Browns players talk with high school teams about making a difference
Larry Ogunjobi and Charley Hughlett joined players and coaches from Kirtland and Shaker Heights to talk about making a difference in the community as part of the Build The Bridge initiative. Build the Bridge strives to create a coalition of coaches, players, parents, administration and community members to foster the success of student-athletes through social-emotional, educational, and athletic advancement. The program creates opportunities for all team members to build relationships and mutual respect between diverse communities, regardless of their race, class or creed.
