After 12 of 16 regular season games are decided by seven points or less, the 1980 Cleveland Browns are given the 'Kardiac Kids' nickname

 Among intense racial segregation across the country, the Browns signed Bill Willis and Marion Motley, two players who demanded respect with their play on the field and built legendary careers in Cleveland

The Browns, named after their first head coach in Paul Brown, officially arrive in Cleveland and join the AAFC, starting the first of many memorable eras of football in Cleveland.
