Make it eight Rookie of the Week awards for the 2018 Browns.
Quarterback Baker Mayfield has accounted for half of them, as he picked up his fourth Friday. Mayfield beat out teammate Nick Chubb, Broncos RB Phillip Lindsay, Giants RB Saquon Barkley and Patriots RB Sony Michel.
It's the second league award in as many days for Mayfield, who was named the NFL's Offensive Rookie of the Month on Thursday.
Mayfield had his latest, best game of his rookie season Sunday against the Bengals. Doing the majority of his work in a dominant first half, Mayfield completed 19-of-26 passes for 258 yards and four touchdowns. Over the past three weeks, he has 771 yards, nine touchdowns and just one interception.
The most Rookie of the Week award wins by a team in a single season is 11, an honor shared by the 2012 Washington Redskins and 2017 New Orleans Saints.
The Browns' eight Rookie of the Week awards have been split among three players. Along with Mayfield's four wins, Chubb (Weeks 4 and 10) and cornerback Denzel Ward (Weeks 1 and 5) each have two.
