Former Browns OL Joe Thomas headed to the College Football Hall of Fame

Before Joe Thomas heads to Canton, he'll make a big stop in Atlanta.

The former Browns offensive tackle was one of 13 players named Monday as 2019 inductees to the College Football Hall of Fame. The former University of Wisconsin star joined the likes of Texas legend Vince Young, Cleveland native London Fletcher and former Steelers star Troy Polamalu in this year's class.

Before Thomas made 10 Pro Bowls and nine All-Pro teams during his 11-year career with the Browns, he starred as a dominant left tackle for his home state Badgers. He made first-team All-Big Ten during his junior and senior seasons, won the Outland Trophy as the nation's best interior lineman and was a unanimous All-American in 2006. The Browns nabbed him with the third pick in the 2007 NFL Draft.

Thomas will be eligible to be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2023.
