Halloween spirit was in the air on Oct. 24 as Barking Backers, the Browns' official fan club for dogs, presented by Milk-Bone, hosted its fifth annual Howl-O-Ween.

For over 900 dogs and their human counterparts, Huntington Bank Field was the perfect place to celebrate Halloween. Dogs dressed up as a referee, a hot dog and a ghost, amongst many other costumes, ventured to different Halloween themed stations around the stadium.

After debuting five seasons ago, Barking Backers has over 30,000 registered dogs, making it the largest organized fan club for dogs in professional sports. Barking Backers offers both free and Premium and memberships, with Premium Memberships currently sold out for the 2026 season. Members receive unique perks, including merchandise and different experiences such as free member events like Howl-O-Ween.

The main concourse at Huntington Bank Field served as the trick-or-treat pathway for the dressed-up canines and their human counterparts, where Milk-Bone handed out treats while ForeverLawn provided chicken broth "potions." Legend's Global added to the experience, supplying candy and pup cups. There were also exclusive five-year Annifursary T-shirts available as part of a Premium Member giveaway. To commemorate the event, pups and their owners were provided photo opportunities on the field in the home tunnel.

In the Mutt-ster Mash Zone, Tito's Handmade Vodka supplied free Bloody Mary's and Screwdrivers for the attendees while their four-legged friends enjoyed a ball pit and a bandana tie dye station. Both Chomps and Brownie also made an appearance to add to the excitement while hot dogs, courtesy of Sugardale, and apple cider were available for a quick snack.

There was a paper towel donation station at the entrance of the event, and with attendees' generosity, 233 rolls were collected for Euclid Pet Pals. Howl-O-Ween also raised $759 for The Anna Shelter in Erie, Pennsylvania through a "Dawg House" sale, where attendees provided monetary donations and selected an item to take home.

At the Browns Pro Shop, a Fanatics Experience, attendees were offered 10 percent off their purchases and entry into a raffle with a chance at four tickets to a Browns game of their choosing or a CB Denzel Ward autographed mini helmet.

Howl-O-Ween operated as the final Barking Backers event of the year and was offered to free and Premium Members.
