Baker Mayfield made history in his final game as a rookie, and he has one more opportunity to be recognized for it.
The Browns quarterback is up for his seventh Rookie of the Week honor after throwing for 376 yards and three touchdowns against the Ravens. His competition is Giants RB Saquon Barkley, Bills QB Josh Allen, Bills LB Tremaine Edmunds and Panthers QB Kyle Allen.
Mayfield's third and final touchdown pass put him alone at the top among rookie quarterbacks, giving him a record 27 touchdowns on the season. He finished with 3,725 passing yards -- most ever by a Browns rookie and sixth-most in NFL history -- while completing close to 64 percent of his passes.
If Mayfield wins the award, it will give the Browns 11 Rookie of the Week awards for the 2018 season. It would tie the single-season record held by the 2012 Washington Redskins and 2017 New Orleans Saints. RB Nick Chubb and DB Denzel Ward were the Browns' other winners, taking home two apiece.
