Browns' Baker Mayfield, Nick Chubb up for Rookie of the Week yet again

The voters will have to decide which rookie was better for the Browns in Sunday's win over the Falcons.

Quarterback Baker Mayfield and running back Nick Chubb, who provided the one-two punch in Cleveland's 28-16 victory, are two of the five nominees for Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Week. This is familiar territory for both, who have a combined four Rookie of the Week honors between them and were co-nominees last week, too.

Mayfield posted the best rookie quarterback rating in NFL history (minimum 20 passing attempts) by completing 17-of-20 passes for 216 yards and three touchdowns. His rating of 151.3 was the fifth-best ever by a Browns quarterback and best in 40 years.

Chubb made some Browns history of his own with a 92-yard touchdown run in Sunday's third quarter. On top of notching the longest rush in team history, he finished with 176 rushing yards, 33 receiving yards and his first receiving touchdown of the season.

Mayfield has won three NFL Rookie of the Week awards (Weeks 3, 7, 9) and Chubb has one (Week 4). Tack on the two won by cornerback Denzel Ward (Weeks 1 and 5), and the Browns have won six of nine thus far.

The competition this week is Cowboys LB Leighton Vander Esch, Seahawks RB Rashaad Penny and Bears WR Anthony Miller.
