The Browns will travel to Chicago and face their fourth and final NFC North opponent this season when they face the Bears. Cleveland enters Week 15 with a 3-10 record, while Chicago has a 9-4 record.
"Really good opponent this week on the road, Chicago Bears. Obviously, they're doing a great job. They're plus-17 in turnover margin which that leads the league and is a great formula for winning. I think Ben's (Johnson) doing an outstanding job with that group," head coach Keven Stefanski said. "Offensively, the ability to run the ball, their play actions, huge challenge. Defensively, taking the ball away at the highest clip in the league, playing really well. Dennis Allen, their defensive coordinator, somebody have a ton of respect for. Special teams, coach (Richard) Hightower does a great job with their group."
Here are three burning questions for their Week 15 matchup against the Bears.
How will the Browns limit turnovers?
The Browns will face a Bears' defense that has the best turnover differential in the NFL at plus-17, with the help of the league-leading 27 takeaways — including 18 interceptions. S Kevin Byard III leads Chicago with six interceptions this season, while CB Nahshon Wright follows with five interceptions. Wright also leads the team with three fumble recoveries.
"I think they have some players with outstanding ball skills and anticipatory skills to go to footballs," Stefanski said. "They're playing in their zone defense, very visual on the quarterback. So, with any quarterback – young quarterback, old quarterback – you have to do a great job with your eyes. You have to trust what you see when you're looking at them. And obviously keying defenders, knowing where our guys are, you have to key their defenders and understand where they are, especially in their zones."
Cleveland is in the middle of the league with 17 giveaways, including 11 interceptions, and has a minus-1 turnover differential. In four games played, QB Shedeur Sanders has thrown three interceptions. The Browns must limit their giveaways against a Bears' defense that has created at least one turnover in all 11 of 13 games played this season.
"They've done a really nice job of taking it away," offensive coordinator Tommy Rees said. "They play well within the scheme. They try to get you in…situations. They have a really good pressure package – I think they lead the league in third-and-7 to-10 percentage and pretty complex there. So, coach (Dennis) Allen does a great job, well respected, obviously, and they have really good personnel at all three levels."

How will the Browns stop the run?
Cleveland will face one of the top rushing attacks in the league, as Chicago is second in the NFL averaging 152.6 rushing yards per game.
"Not only a big emphasis on the run game…these guys can run the ball – I mean, they ran up almost 300 yards rushing on Philly (Eagles), so it's enough to get your attention," defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz said. "It's December football, it'll be cold in the game, and run defense is going to be important. We need to play all our plays the way we played most of our plays, and we can't let our guard down for one second or we pay the consequences."
The Bears' run game starts with RB D'Andre Swift and RB Kyle Monangai. Swift leads Chicago with 173 carries for 837 rushing yards and five touchdowns, while Monangai is second with 135 carries for 648 rushing yards and five touchdowns. Swift averages 69.8 rushing yards per game and has totaled four 20-plus yard rushing plays this season.
"(DeAndre) Swift gives them a lot of things that (Jahmyr) Gibbs gives them and (Kyle) Monangai, that guy gives you a hammer, sort of like (David) Montgomery," Schwartz said. "I'll tell you what, I got a lot of respect for that kid. He is a hard runner. He was a late round draft pick, not the biggest guy in the round, but there's nothing to hit on him – he's shaped a lot like (Ashton) Jeanty, and that gives them that good one, two punch."
However, the Browns must also account for QB Caleb Williams in the run game, who has totaled 65 carries for 321 rushing yards and three touchdowns, using his legs to extend plays. He ranks third on the team in both carries and rushing yards.
Schwartz compared the approach to defending the scrambling ability of QB Lamar Jackson and QB Justin Fields to how they will have to defend Williams.
"The biggest thing is the run game, and then Caleb Williams sort of making plays off schedule," Schwartz said. "It's not just taking the run game away from them, but it's taking the scrambles to throw, and that stuff puts a lot of pressure on your defense. So, good play action team, good run team, and quarterback that can make plays off schedule and a lot of wide receivers and tight ends that can run after the catch. Tough scheme. Great challenge for us."
How will the Browns balance their offense with the run game?
The Browns have an opportunity to also use their run game to their advantage and move the ball down the field, as the Bears give up an average of 132.5 rushing yards per game — the sixth most in the league.
However, they must account for DE Montez Sweat in the run defense, as Sweat leads the Bears with 12 tackles for loss this season. As a defense, Chicago has a total of 51 tackles for loss.
"(Montez Sweat) is a great player up front," Rees said. "They have some size inside, which can cause some issues in the run game."
Cleveland is averaging 95.6 rushing yards per game, ranked 27th in the league. However, if they can create the lanes for RB Quinshon Judkins to use his speed, they can find success in the run game. This season, Judkins leads the Browns with 210 carries for 784 yards and seven touchdowns. He has also been a target in the pass game with showcasing his ability to earn yards after the catch, with 18 receptions for 146 yards.
