The Browns kick off their second set of division matchups for the 2025 season when they host the Ravens in Week 11. Cleveland and Baltimore first met in Week 2, with the Ravens winning 41-17.
Now in Week 11, the Browns return home for their first home game since the bye week and look to continue their success at Huntington Bank Field.
"Division game at our place. An opponent, when you're in the division, second game, they know you, we know them," head coach Kevin Stefanski said. "But obviously, you have to play your best. You got to play your best football versus a good opponent at our place. So, working really hard this week on all three sides of the ball."
Here are three burning questions for Sunday's matchup against the Ravens.
How will the Browns stop the Ravens' run game?
In the first meeting between the Browns and the Ravens in Week 2, Cleveland limited RB Derrick Henry to 23 rushing yards — his lowest total of the season. They limited Baltimore to a total of 45 net rushing yards for the game, not allowing a run over 11 yards.
However, as the season has continued, the Ravens have established a more consistent use of the run game and are using multiple options out of the backfield alongside Henry, including RB Justice Hill, RB Keaton Mitchell and FB Patrick Ricard, as well as the threat of QB Lamar Jackson to run the ball.
Ricard missed the first six games of the season with a calf injury and officially retuned to the field in Week 8 for Baltimore. The Ravens now rank fifth in the league in average rushing yards per game at 137.3.
"(Patrick Ricard) is a huge piece of the puzzle for them," Stefanski said. "He's versatile in the things that he can do. But as we've seen going against him over the years, he's a big, physical football player and having him back does change some of the things we do."
Yet, this season, the Browns are only allowing an average of 97.9 rushing yards per game, ranked 10th in the league. If the Browns can stop the run, they can limit the Ravens' ability to move the ball downfield.
"(Ricard) is a 300-pound guy that can play with power and that means a lot to a guy like Derrick Henry, getting him started," defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz said. "We've done a good job of getting Derrick a lot of times before he can get started. Having a fullback like that can help him. So, he was an important part of their offense that they didn't have the first time."

How will the Browns limit dual-threat QB Lamar Jackson?
The Browns' defense will face QB Lamar Jackson for the second time this season and will look to limit his dual-threat ability in passing the ball and using his legs either to scramble or in a designed quarterback run.
Jackson recently returned in Week 9 from a hamstring injury that he endured in Week 4 and caused him to miss three games due to the injury. Then in Week 10 in their 27-19 loss to the Vikings, Jackson completed 17 of 29 passing attempts for 176 yards and one touchdown.
"(He) looks like himself," Stefanski said of Jackson. "Obviously, the offense is a huge challenge with him in there – just his ability as a passer, the ability that his running element adds to their offense."
In his six games this season, Jackson has completed 103 of 147 passing attempts for 1,249 passing yards and 15 touchdowns. He has also recorded 35 carries for 216 rushing yards and one touchdown.
All levels of both the run and pass defenses will have to account for Jackson and prepare to stop him in the run game, apply pressure with the pass rush and cover intended receivers to limit Jackson's ability to find his targets.
"He's a playmaker out there," CB Denzel Ward said. "He's able to extend plays. So, it's already tough covering guys in this league, but when he's able to extend the play longer than the average play, you just have to cover for that much longer and wait for guys to get open. We still just have to finish and find a way to get the balls down or intercept it and make plays in that aspect. It's definitely tougher when you got someone like that can throw the ball and run the ball and extend plays."
How will the Browns blend the use of the run and the pass?
As the Browns look to build consistency in their offense, they have an opportunity to utilize both the run and the pass game against the Ravens. Baltimore gives up 123.2 rushing yards per game, ranked 20th in the league, and 249.4 passing yards per game, ranked 27th in the league.
The Ravens are also in a three-way tie for last in the league in sacks this season, totaling just 12 sacks through nine games, and have 46 quarterback hits. They have 10 takeaways this season, including five interceptions and five fumble recoveries.
"Whether they're generating pressure or not, they're limiting points, they're creating turnovers, they're getting key stops when they need it," offensive coordinator Tommy Rees said. "So, they're really playing at a high level."
The Browns rank 26th in the league in average rushing yards with 97.1 rushing yards per game; however, RB Quinshon Judkins has provided a spark to the run game with his 140 carries for 561 rushing yards and five touchdowns.
Cleveland has struggled this season to find consistency in the pass game, as they rank 29th in the league with 168 passing yards per game. However, in Week 10 against the Jets, QB Dillon Gabriel was able to involve WR Jerry Jeudy more in the pass game, finding him for six receptions and one touchdown.
if they can blend the use of the run and pass game, they can move the ball down the field and into scoring position against a Ravens' defense that gives up an average of 26.1 points per game – ranked 25th in the league.
"They do a great job schematically," Rees said. "They have a lot of people that can play in different roles. Kyle Hamilton being one of them. He lines up all over the field. They have a veteran group up front that have good rush patterns, good gains and stunts. They use personnel in multiple ways. So, the 'backs got to be tied into it. Our line's got to be tied into it. Our tight ends, the pass catchers themselves. It's always a race between them and the pass rushers to get open. And our whole group needs to understand how critical that is."
