Storylines to Watch

  • How the Browns stop the Bears' run game — The Browns will face one of the top run games in the league, as the Bears are second in the NFL averaging 152.6 rushing yards per game. The Browns now sit at 13th in the league, allowing an average of 107.7 rushing yards per game. After giving up 184 net rushing yards to the Titans, head coach Kevin Stefanski recognized that their run defense fell short in stopping Tennessee. The Bears' run game starts with RB D'Andre Swift and RB Kyle Monangai. Swift leads Chicago with 173 carries for 837 rushing yards and five touchdowns, while Monangai is second with 135 carries for 648 rushing yards and give touchdowns. However, the Browns must also account for QB Caleb Williams, who has totaled 65 carries for 321 rushing yards and three touchdowns, using his legs to extend plays.
  • How the Browns use their run game — The Browns have an opportunity to also use their run game to their advantage and move the ball down the field, as the Bears give up an average of 132.5 rushing yards per game — the sixth most in the league. Cleveland is averaging 95.6 rushing yards per game, ranked 27th in the league. However, if they can create the lanes for RB Quinshon Judkins to his his speed, they can find success in the run game. This season, Judkins leads the Browns with 210 carries for 784 yards and seven touchdowns. He has also been a target in the pass game with showcasing his ability to earn yards after the catch, with 18 receptions for 146 yards.
  • How the Browns limit their turnovers — The Browns also face a Bears' defense that has the best turnover differential in the NFL at plus-17, with the help of the league-leading 27 takeaways — including 18 interceptions. Cleveland is in the middle of the league with 17 giveaways, including 11 interceptions. They have a minus-1 turnover differential. The Browns must limit their giveaways against a Bears' defense that has created at least one turnover in all 11 of 13 games played this season.
