Month of Giving
The Browns "Month of Giving" is an annual tradition dedicated to uplifting spirits across Northeast Ohio during the holiday season. Throughout the "Month of Giving," Browns players, coaches, and staff participate in special community events and make meaningful contributions to deserving organizations and individuals. This initiative is part of the team's year-round commitment to promoting education, youth football, and equitable opportunities, while also inspiring others to volunteer.
Check back each Saturday for a new weekly recap, where we'll share everything accomplished during the previous week and highlight the stories, events and moments of impact taking place throughout the "Month of Giving."
Week 1
Dec. 1st - First and Ten Toy Drive
Fans had the opportunity to give back as we hosted our annual Browns Give Back First and Ten Toy Drive with the Marines, presented by Kurv, on Sunday, December 7th. They joined in the holiday spirit, bringing new and unwrapped toys for local kids, and contributing monetary donations to help kids in Cuyahoga County receive gifts through the Marine Corps Toys for Tots program!
This year, our STS Nominee Wyatt Teller was among 20 players who took part in My Cause My Cleats, to help amplify causes important to them. Wyatt proudly represented Folds of Honor, an organization dedicated to providing scholarships for the families of fallen or disabled military service members and first responders. Wyatt's continued commitment highlights his unwavering support for those who serve our country and communities.
Applications for the 2026 Marion Motley Scholarship opened, offering a four-year, $2,500-per-year renewable scholarship totaling $10,000 to two Northeast Ohio students. Offered in partnership with College Now Greater Cleveland, the scholarship honored Browns Legend Marion Motley, whose legacy continued to inspire opportunity and excellence for the next generation.
Dec. 4th - 2025 Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award – Grant Delpit
In recognition of a player who gives back to our fans and community, we named Safety Grant Delpit as the Browns 2025 Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award presented by Nationwide, recognizing his consistent leadership and growing impact through both his personal GD Express Foundation and his focus on education. His nomination reflected how he continued to level up each year in the community, driving meaningful change for children and families in Cleveland and beyond.
In partnership with Canopy, children and families enjoyed a holiday party, at Huntington Bank Field that included a festive atmosphere with live music, crafts, cupcake decorating, and hot cocoa. The celebration was made even more special as the Cleveland Browns wide receivers joined in, spreading cheer and helping distribute gifts to all the kids.
Throughout the season and month of December, the Browns and Crown Royal have spotlighted community partners and their work in the community through the "That Deserves a Crown" Program. Most recently, Jon Kozesky was recognized for his work alongside The Littlest Heroes.
Michael Scott, Assistant Superintendent for Lorain City Schools, stood on the sideline of Huntington Bank Field unaware of the surprise that awaited him. He believed he was simply being recognized for his work in helping reduce chronic absenteeism across the district. During the Stay in the Game! themed game against the Titans on Dec. 7, the Cleveland Browns Foundation surprised Scott with tickets and accommodations to Super Bowl LX, along with round-trip airfare for him and a guest courtesy of United Airlines.
The Cleveland Browns were on-site covering the 54th Annual Ohio High School Athletic Association State Championships, where three Northeast Ohio teams—including Avon, Glenville and Kirtland—captured state titles in their respective divisions. These championship teams were invited to attend the Browns vs. Bills game on December 21 to celebrate their accomplishment.
To celebrate ongoing efforts to reduce chronic absenteeism, the Cleveland Browns Foundation welcomed SITG! students and educators from Network schools for special recognitions and activities during the Stay In the Game! themed game. As fans, students, and educators came together, the Browns highlighted the importance of showing up to school every day and focused on uplifting students across Ohio by promoting strong attendance and providing meaningful opportunities that encourage their success.
The Cleveland Browns nominated Dr. Henry Pettiegrew II, Chief Executive Officer and Superintendent of East Cleveland City Schools, for the team's 2025 Jim Brown Inspire Change Changemaker Award. This annual award honored local leaders who created lasting change in their communities within the NFL Inspire Change pillars of education, economic advancement, police community relations and criminal justice reform.
The Cleveland Browns and Bridgestone teamed up to announce a Girls Flag Football Field Day aimed at inspiring and empowering the next generation of athletes, and registration opened for participants. The initiative included plans for a panel of women leaders sharing their experiences in football, careers in sports, and opportunities in STEM, followed by an on-field clinic focused on skills and teamwork in preparation for the 2026 Spring Season. This effort continued a commitment to growing girls' flag football across Ohio and creating pathways on and off the field. Bridgestone contributed $40,000 during the 2025 season to support officiating costs, provide custom flag belts for every high school, and help make impactful experiences like this possible.
Supporters and fans of Providence House were in the spirit of giving as they sold out the 26th Annual Deck the House Benefit Auction, the organization's largest fundraising event of the year aimed at supporting its mission of ensuring children's safety and family unity. During the event, we honored Cleveland Browns DE Alex Wright, with the Ed Block Courage Award, a recognition voted for by his teammates in appreciation of his courage and inspiring ability to overcome adversity!
Joel Bitonio continued his long-standing Shop with a Pro tradition at Meijer, hosting the event for the eighth consecutive year and welcoming 65 children from the City of Cleveland Recreation Centers for a meaningful holiday shopping experience. Each child was paired with Bitonio and 14 Cleveland Browns players to select gifts for themselves and their families, creating a memorable and engaging holiday experience.
In partnership with United Airlines, the Browns sent four local veterans on an all-inclusive trip to Chicago to watch the Browns take on the Bears on Sunday, December 14th. These vets were chosen due to their continued impact to the community and military!
Through the generosity of Browns players, coaches, and their spouses, 14 families were adopted through local organizations including The Littlest Heroes and CMSD's Project ACT Adopt A Family Program. The Littlest Heroes offers emergency financial assistance to families facing pediatric cancer and other childhood illnesses. Meanwhile, CMSD's Project ACT supports youth living in temporary emergency shelters, transitional housing, and those doubled up with other families due to housing loss or economic difficulties.
Browns safety Grant Delpit hosted a Breakfast & Bowling with Santa event to spread holiday cheer to kids and families from the Garden Valley Rainbow Terrace Apartments, alongside local first responders. Delpit was joined by Browns teammates and former Cleveland Cavaliers player Booby Gibson to create a fun and memorable holiday experience. The event provided families an opportunity to connect, celebrate, and enjoy time together during the holiday season.
Dec. 17th - HELMETS Giveaway & Service Award
As part of the Cleveland Browns HELMETS program, presented by Meijer and in association with University Hospitals, the Browns donated 80 Riddell football helmets to 8 youth football teams in the Cleveland Muny Football League at CrossCountry Mortgage Campus alongside Browns coaches and athletes representing each team. The Browns also honored Jason Dunn, League Director for Cleveland Muny with a 'Service Award' for his unwavering commitment to the league, thousands of athletes and hundreds of coaches he supports year-round.
On behalf of the Cleveland Browns and the Amazon TNF for Good initiative, Hanford Dixon visited the Greater Cleveland Food Bank to present a $20,000 check in support of the fight against childhood hunger. During the visit, Hanford learned more about their Children's Hunger Initiative and how the Food Bank continues to provide vital assistance to children in need throughout the holiday season.
20 students from Bay Middle School were rewarded for outstanding attendance and presented a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of video games. Ethlete Lab Academy, a premier video game lounge and organization restoring community and education in video games, partnered with Stay in the Game! to offer students a gaming session and lunch. Cleveland Browns G Teven Jenkins surprised students at the event before hanging out with and challenging students in popular video games like Madden NFL.
The Cleveland Browns were excited to announce the lineup of new and returning teams participating in the 2026 Spring Girls High School Flag Football season.
The Browns vs. Bills game on December 21 was 'Play Football' themed, celebrating youth and high school football throughout Northeast Ohio. During the game, we highlighted teams, athletes, and coaches while recognizing the incredible accomplishments and moments from the 2025 fall season.
Dec. 22nd - United Fantasy Flight
Fantasy Flight Cleveland 2025 took place on December 9 at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport, where United Airlines partnered with local children's hospitals to take nearly 30 families on a magical "flight to the North Pole." The gate was transformed into a festive holiday scene, and upon landing, children were greeted by Santa, holiday characters, music, and gifts, creating a joyful experience for families facing serious medical challenges. The event also included a special player appearance by Adin Huntington (DT), who helped spread holiday cheer and make the day even more memorable.
Myles Garrett partnered with Big Fig this holiday season to provide a local family with brand new mattresses. The family was identified by Project ACT as having an immediate need, and each family member was able to choose the mattress that best fit their comfort and needs. With these new beds, they enjoyed a better night's sleep and experience the benefits that quality rest brings.
Dec. 24th - Chomps Chill Zone - Jr. Browns Backers
The Browns hosted their first annual Chomps' Chill Zone at Huntington Bank Field for Premium Members of Jr. Browns Backers, the official kids club of the Cleveland Browns, presented by University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children's in association with Cardinal Credit Union, with support from the Stay in the Game! Attendance Network. All Premium Jr. Browns Backers members had the opportunity to enjoy a hot cocoa bar, cookie decorating station, faux ice skating, friendship bracelet making, karaoke, photos with Chomps and Brownie, and more.
Browns safety Grant Delpit hosted his annual holiday toy drive at the Lakeview Community Center, bringing gifts and holiday cheer to children and families in Cleveland. Joined by teammates, Delpit's event provided a festive experience for local families in need. Since arriving in Cleveland, Delpit has embraced giving back to the community, and his fourth annual toy drive has grown into a cherished holiday tradition.
The Cleveland Browns and Huntington National Bank partnered during the team's Month of Giving to support children in need across Cuyahoga County. Together, the Browns and Huntington delivered nearly 1,000 holiday gifts to Cuyahoga County Children and Family Services in Old Brooklyn. The gifts were made possible through the Browns' annual Giving Tree initiative, with Huntington matching the number of gifts purchased by Browns staff and employees, further amplifying the impact of the longtime partnership.
The Browns named Justin Todd, head coach at Wadsworth High School, the 2025 Cleveland Browns High School Coach of the Year. Todd received $6,000 in funding for the football program and also represented the Browns for the AFC NFL Don Shula High School Coach of the Year award.
Throughout the year, we continue to support our Browns Backers worldwide in their fundraising efforts for local nonprofits and community events. This year alone, we have partnered with and supported more than 50 different Browns Backers chapters, helping them make a meaningful impact in their communities.
All-Pro Christmas was a holiday shopping event headlined by Cleveland Browns players David Njoku and Maliek Collins. In partnership with FCA Metro Cleveland and The Right Choice Foundation, the event brought local families to Meijer for a unique holiday experience. Njoku, Collins, and their teammates assisted families in selecting gifts for their children and loved ones.
Dec. 30th - Youth Football - Super Bowl Surprise
The Cleveland Browns hosted Danny Solomon, Head Coach of the Garden Valley Falcons in the Cleveland Muny Football League for a facility tour and surprised him with two tickets to the 2026 Super Bowl. Recently honored by the City of Cleveland for 30 years of service, Coach Solomon is a pillar of the community whose dedication has positively impacted countless young student-athletes.
During the Stay in the Game! Winter visit, one school was selected for their improved attendance and using a new activation, Brownie on the Blackboard. Players WR Cedric Tillman and LS Rex Sunahara played different winter Minute to Win It Games like unwrapping a saran wrapped ball of gifts with oven mitts to tossing marshmallows in cups before concluding with a winter craft. Tillman and Sunahara assisted students in making a snowman "desk buddy" from modeling clay. Before running the halls in an all school clap out, thanks to a partnership with Ticketmaster, Sunahara and Tillman surprised two students in the class with tickets to the 12.21 Browns vs Bills Ticketmaster Suite!
