Does Your High School Football Team Need New HELMETS?

The Browns are proud to elevate our high school programming through HELMETS, presented by the Cleveland Browns and UnitedHealthcare, in association with University Hospitals. This program takes aim at advancing player safety in high school football by awarding a northeast Ohio *area high school football program with $25,000 in new football helmets.

As a prerequisite, programs must commit to enhancing player health and safety by enrolling in USA Football's medically endorsed Heads Up Football® program. Created by USA Football, the official youth development partner of the NFL and the Cleveland Browns, Heads Up Football® offers certification clinics to educate coaches about concussion recognition and response protocols, proper equipment fitting, Heads Up Tackling, Heads Up Blocking, heat emergency preparedness and hydration, and sudden cardiac arrest.

Fans have an opportunity to enter weekly sweepstakes for a chance to win a Browns mini-helmet and to nominate a northeast Ohio high school football program before the deadline of Sunday, January 3, 2016. Enter the HELEMETs Sweepstakes for a chance to WIN!
*Eligible counties include: Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain, Medina, Portage and Summit counties

Under head coach Jim McQuaide and now in their second season executing USA Football's Heads Up Football® program, the Solon Comets were randomly selected as the winner of the inaugural HELMETs sweepstakes. Solon was awarded $25,000 in new football helmets for advancing player safety and enrolling in Heads Up Football®.

The Cleveland Browns are committed to assisting in the development, safety and growth of youth and high school football throughout Northeast Ohio with year-round programming for players, coaches, officials and parents. Through camps, clinics and other initiatives, the Browns' goal is to promote healthy, social, emotional, intellectual and physical development of youth by enhancing opportunities for youth football participation and education.
