The Browns fell to the Bills in their second preseason game, 31-7, on Saturday afternoon at Huntington Bank Field.
QB Shedeur Sanders started the game while QB Deshaun Watson played in the third quarter and finished the drive early in the fourth. On the first drive of the game, Cleveland went 65 yards on 11 plays with Sanders completing all four of his passes — including the final strike to WR Luke Floriea in the back of the end zone.
Here are 10 key numbers from the Browns' Week 2 preseason game.
1 – Cleveland tallied one sack on Saturday. DT Mike Hall Jr. sacked QB Kyle Allen for a loss of nine yards in the first quarter to force a third-and-long that resulted in a Bills' punt.
2 – The Browns threw two interceptions against the Bills. Sanders was intercepted in the second quarter by S Damar Hamlin and Watson was picked off by CB Te'Cory Couch in the third quarter.
5 – The Browns completed five passes of 10 yards or more, with each reception coming by a different player. The longest was a 23-yard catch by Floriea, followed by a 20-yard reception from WR Malachi Corley. RB Ahmani Marshall, TE Carsen Ryan and TE Blake Whiteheart also added double-digit yard receptions.
8 – S Donovan McMillon finished the game with eight combined tackles — his five solo tackles led the team. In the second quarter, McMillon also recorded a tackle for loss on WR Trent Sherfield Sr. to force a third-and-short that the Bills did not convert.
9 – Sanders had nine completions on 11 attempts during Saturday's game for an 81.8 completion percentage. Sanders threw for 74 yards on his nine completions for an average of 6.7 yards per attempt. He completed his first eight passes of the game, including leading the Browns on an 11-play, 65-yard opening touchdown drive.
31 – Floriea had two receptions for 31 yards to lead the Browns. Floriea caught an 8-yard touchdown pass on the opening drive and added a 23-yard reception to convert a third-and-15 in the second quarter.
48 – The Browns averaged 48 yards per punt against the Bills. P Wes Pahl recorded four punts for 192 yards while P Corey Bojorquez tallied one punt for 48 yards.
94 – WR Kole Wilson finished with 94 kick return yards on three returns, an average of 31.3. His longest return was 38 yards, where he took the ball from the Brown's 3-yard line to the 41-yard line.
194 – The Browns recorded 194 net yards against the Bills. Cleveland had 110 net passing yards and 84 net rushing yards.
239 – Cleveland allowed 239 passing yards to the Bills. Allen finished the game with 128 yards through the air while QB Shane Buechele added 111 passing yards.
