OHSAA Football Computer Ratings:
17.) Strongsville (Division 1, Region 1)
5.) Mentor (Division 1, Region 1)

The Mentor Cardinals are ranked 5 in the Division I, Region I computer ratings and look to improve their standing tonight as they take on the Strongsville Mustangs in a division matchup.

The Cardinals have been riding the coattails of RB Alex Matthews who had his season high in rushing last week with 225 yards and 5 Touchdowns on the ground. The Cardinals don't just rely on the ground game--they have had success through the air, WR Jason Blizzard has 57 catches for 1,042 yards and 8 Touchdowns this season. (Note: Blizzard is a game-time decision due to an ankle injury)

The Mustangs are looking to end their previous year's conference struggles and make a run towards the playoffs. They look to avoid three straight losses, as a loss against Mentor will put their postseason hopes on life support. Look for the Mustangs to control the clock and rush the ball effectively against the Cardinals defense. RB Zach Kahn has been a workhorse recently; last week carrying the ball 39 times for 289 yards and 2 Touchdowns. Through the air, the Mustangs have been almost non-existent; in the last two weeks they have combined for 5-of-23 passing.

With the Cardinals coming off a dominating win against Medina 42-20 and looking to secure the number 1 seed in the Playoffs, the pressure will be mounting against the Mustangs as they look to rebound off a devastating 38-14 loss to Solon and keep their playoff hopes alive.

Can the Mustangs contain the high octane offense of Mentor or will the Cardinals fly away with another conference win?
