Get 2 School, Stay in the Game! Network Launch Event
On August 3, the Cleveland Browns Foundation, Ohio Department of Education and Proving Ground at Harvard University launched the Get 2 School, Stay in the Game! Network (Get 2 School Network), a statewide initiative designed to promote the importance of school attendance and put an end to chronic absenteeism.
The goal of the Get 2 School Network is to increase student attendance at the state level and locally in partner districts and schools. The equation is simple: The more students attend school, the more prepared they are for success beyond school.

Browns, Maple Heights School District celebrate launch of Get 2 School Network
As part of Browns Give Back's commitment to education, the Cleveland Browns Foundation and Maple Heights School District celebrated the recent launch of the Get 2 School, Stay in the Game! Network during a visit to Barack Obama Elementary School. While at the school, Browns players David Njoku and Demetrius Harris recognized select students and congratulated them for showing exemplary or significantly improved attendance.
Get 2 School initiative launched to tackle absenteeism
Student success starts with school attendance. Students who are absent from school miss important learning opportunities, which can be difficult, or even impossible to make up. The mission of the Get 2 School Network is to prioritize attendance by connecting its users to resources aimed at tackling chronic absenteeism. The Cleveland Browns Foundation, Ohio Department of Education and Proving Ground are deeply committed to this mission.
Speakers at the press event included Browns' owner Dee Haslam, former player Michael Lehan, Ohio's Superintendent of Public Institution Paolo DeMaria, Voice of the Browns Jim Donovan, and Executive Vice President of the Cleveland Browns Foundation Renee Harvey.
2018 Marion Motley Scholarship recipients recognized at First Energy Stadium | Browns Give Back
Kaylon Cowan-Ross and Omowonuola Obasa were recognized as the 2018 Marion Motley Scholarship recipients. Kaylon and Omowonuola were recognized in an on-field check presentation with Browns alumni Dick Ambrose, and served as the honorary Coin Toss Captains for the game.
Players Volunteer for Titan Pride School Uniform Program
The Cleveland Browns Foundation and Lorain City School District officially launched the "Titan Pride Uniform" program at Toni Morrison Elementary School on Tuesday. During the visit, the Browns presented a grant check to the district and distributed packages to students in support of the uniform program's mission to enhance students' school attendance.
Browns reward class with good school attendance
As a part of Browns Give Back, Browns players visited a third grade class on Clark Elementary and rewarded them for their good school attendance and emphasized the importance of attending school as much as possible throughout the year for a thorough education.
Browns participate in Neighborhood Equality and UNITY Summit
As an extension of the UNITY platform, Browns players were invited to join teenagers from local rec centers in addition to Safety Forces for round table discussions. The groups came together for the third time to have conversations with the Cleveland students.
