Browns acquire G Justin McCray from Packers

The Browns weren't finished wheeling and dealing along the offensive line after Thursday's trade for guard Wyatt Teller.

Cleveland acquired offensive lineman Justin McCray from the Green Bay Packers on Saturday.

In the deal, the Browns agreed to swap undisclosed 2020 draft picks with the Packers in exchange for the offensive lineman, who has appeared in 25 games (13 starts) over two seasons for Green Bay.

McCray (6-foot-3, 317 pounds) will meet a familiar face in Browns offensive line coach James Campen when he arrives in Berea. Campen served on the Green Bay coaching staff for the last 15 years before leaving in the spring to join the Browns, and worked with McCray in 2017 and 2018.

Under Campen's tutelage, McCray went from a practice squad player in Tennessee in 2014 and Arena Football League player in 2015 and 2016 to a Week 2 starter in Green Bay in 2017.

McCray's acquisition brings the team's roster to 53 players at the league-mandated 4 p.m. deadline.
