Browns announce their 2025 preseason opponents

Heading into the official release of the 2025 NFL schedule, the Browns had an idea of how their preseason would shape up to look like. During the NFL Annual Meeting, head coach Kevin Stefanski announced the Browns would travel to hold two joint practices with the Eagles, and one joint practice with the Panthers.

Now, their preseason schedule is officially set. The Browns will travel for the first two preseason games before returning home to host the final preseason game at Huntington Bank Field.

"Those are going to be big weeks for our football team in terms of how we're coming together — offense, defense, special teams," Stefanski said. "Those will be big weeks in terms of evaluation, how it is all shaking out, with some really tough decisions at the end of August. But we're looking forward to those weeks."

Cleveland will travel to Charlotte in Week 1 of the preseason to face the Panthers on Aug. 8 with kickoff slated for 7 p.m. They then will head to Philadelphia to play the Eagles in Week 2 of the preseason on Aug. 16, with kickoff scheduled for 1 p.m. The Browns will then host the Los Angeles Rams at Huntington Bank Field for the final preseason game in Week 3 on Aug. 23 at 1 p.m.

"We'll definitely be ready for a home game by then because we'll be on the road Weeks 1 and 2 of the preseason, so we'll be excited to be finally in front of our fans," Stefanski said. "Then going up against a team like the Rams, coach (Sean) McVay does a great job with his group. We know we'll have our work cut out for us, but that'll be a special day in front of the Dawg Pound."
