As LB Carson Schwesinger surveyed the play, he saw Packers QB Jordan Love scramble as the pocket collapsed and run towards the right side of the field. Schwesinger took off running as Love looked downfield for a receiver to throw the ball to, but Schwesinger sacked Love before he could release the ball for a loss of 11 yards.

Schwesinger recorded nine tackles, one tackle for loss and one quarterback hit, as well as a tackle on special teams in the Browns' 13-10 win over the Packers. He tied for the team high in tackles with S Grant Delpit, who had nine. He was officially named one of the six nominees for the Pepsi Zero Sugar Rookie of the Week for Week 3.

As the green dot for the defense, Schwesinger has played an integral role in the success of the defense this season, communicating calls to the defense.

"Every hurdle we've given him, he's jumped, and he hasn't batted an eye. He has great instincts, great eyes for the football," defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz said on Sept. 4. "He's just wired to the ball. He's big. He's physical. Green dot, relaying the call. I think we might overestimate like that. But his play, his communication and those kinds of things are going to be what sort of creates his leadership on the field."

Schwesinger was nominated for the Pepsi Zero Sugar Rookie of the Week alongside Chargers RB Omarion Hampton, Giants RB Cam Skattebo, Bears WR Luther Burden III, Seahawks WR Tory Horton and Commanders WR Jaylin Lan.

Fans can vote for one of the six nominated players here and on the NFL Mobile app through Thursday at 11 a.m. ET to determine who will bring home the Rookie of the Week championship belt for Week 3.

After the regular season, six players will be nominated for NFL Rookie of the Year honors. Fans can vote for the winner here throughout the month of January.
