After coming out of the smoke-filled tunnel dawning their Browns Legends jackets, former Browns WR Brian Brennan and C Alex Mack hyped up fans at Huntington Bank Field ahead of the home opener against the Panthers on Sept. 27.
Brennan and Mack were honored and inducted as Browns Legends during a pregame ceremony. They then smashed Panthers-themed guitars while pumping up the crowd to get Cleveland ready for its first home game of the season.
Brennan was selected by the Browns with the 104th overall pick in the 1984 NFL Draft and spent the first eight seasons of his nine-year career in Cleveland. In 1986, Brennan helped lead the Browns to a 12-4 record, where he finished the season with 55 receptions for 838 receiving yards and six touchdowns. Amongst Browns all-time career leaders, Brennan's 315 receptions rank fifth, his 4,148 receiving yards rank ninth and his 19 receiving touchdowns are tied for the 15th most.
Mack was drafted by the Browns with the 21st overall pick in 2009 and played seven seasons with the franchise. He started all 101 games he appeared in with Cleveland, including a streak of 5,279 consecutive snaps that earned him Iron Man status. Alongside Joel Bitonio and Joe Thomas, Mack is one of three Browns offensive players to start at least 100 games since the franchise returned in 1999. Mack was also selected to three Pro Bowls — the most by a Browns center — and named to an All-Pro team in 2013.
