For the second consecutive season, the Browns will kick off their season at Cleveland Browns Stadium.

This year, they will face an NFC East opponent who they have not played against since 2020. The Browns will host the Dallas Cowboys on Sept. 8 at 4:25 p.m. ET, and the game will air on FOX.

Single-game tickets for the home opener are available now.

"It's exciting to be able to open the season at home," head coach Kevin Stefanski said. "Last year's home opener was electric, and we expect the same atmosphere. We feed off our fans' energy and I am sure there will be a little extra juice from them with this being the first one of the 2024 season. The Cowboys are the defending NFC East champs, so it will be a great challenge and we are looking forward to it."

They traveled to Dallas in 2020 where they beat the Cowboys 49-38 in Week 4. The Browns last hosted the Cowboys in Cleveland in 2016, when they lost to Dallas 35-10. The Browns have played the Cowboys 32 times since 1960 in franchise history, including three postseason games in the 1960s. Cleveland leads the overall series 18-14.

While the Browns dealt with a plethora of injuries in the 2023 season to key players on both sides of the ball, they are poised to be healthier to start the 2024 season as both QB Deshaun Watson and RB Nick Chubb continue to rehab for their respective injuries. They also re-signed integral players to the Browns' defense to run it back with their league-leading defense from 2023.

The Cowboys finished the 2023 season at the top of the NFC East, winning the division for the first time since 2021 and the second time in three seasons. They ended the regular season with a 12-5 record but lost in the Wild Card round to the Packers. However, this offseason, the Cowboys made an important move as they brought back star RB Ezekiel Elliott after he spent the 2023 season with the Patriots.

The Browns may have a tough test to kick off the season, but one that could set the tone for Cleveland in Week 1.

The wait for the Browns' 2024 schedule will end Wednesday when the NFL unveils full slates for all 32 teams. For now, check out photos of the Browns 2024 opponents
