The Cleveland Browns have signed TE Rico Gathers. To make room on the roster, the team waived TE/FB Orson Charles.

Gathers is 6-6, 281 pounds and in his third NFL season out of Baylor, where he played basketball. Originally a sixth-round pick by Dallas in 2016, Gathers has appeared in 15 regular season games with four starts. He has three receptions for 45 yards. Gathers is a native of Reserve, La.
