The beginning to the Browns' 2026 season is finally here.
On Tuesday, Browns' veterans returned to CrossCountry Mortgage Campus before the start of training camp on July 29.
Rookies arrived on July 23 — allowing time to prepare for their first NFL training camp — along with the quarterbacks.
During training camp, the Browns will hold nine open practice sessions, beginning on July 31 and ending on Aug 12. Cleveland's first preseason game is on Aug. 15 against the Bears, followed by home matchups with the Bills and Patriots on Aug. 22 and Aug. 27. On Sept. 13, the Browns will kick off the regular season by going on the road to face the Jaguars.
The Browns' offseason was headlined by trading for DE Jared Verse, who in his first two seasons in the NFL with the Rams won Defensive Rookie of the Year and was selected to two Pro Bowls. Verse will look to fortify the defensive line alongside DE Alex Wright, DE Isaiah McGuire and second year DT Mason Graham this season.
Joining Verse on the defensive side of the ball is the reigning Defensive Rookie of the Year LB Carson Schwesinger. With the past two Defensive Rookie of the Years on the roster, the Browns boast one of the best young defensive duos, who will look to make life difficult for opposing offenses this season.
On offense, a revamped offensive line is highlighted by T Tytus Howard — who the Browns traded for this offseason from the Texans — along with free agent additions C/G Elgton Jenkins and G Zion Johnson, will use training camp to build chemistry. They will join ninth overall pick T Spencer Fano, who returned with the rookies on July 23, in what is an overhauled unit from a season ago.
The entire roster is back at CrossCountry Mortgage Campus for the start of the 2026 season, ready to build on the foundation from OTAs and minicamp.
