DE Myles Garrett broke Browns' history once again this season.

With his second sack of the day, Garrett broke his own record for the most sacks in a single season for the Browns. He set the record in 2021 with 16 sacks and tied the record the next season in 2022.

Garrett's first sack came late in the second quarter. As he broke past TE Ian Thomas, he fought past OL Stone Forsythe to bring down QB Geno Smith – giving Garrett 16 sacks on the season and tying his record. Then, he officially broke the record with his 17th sack of the season in the fourth quarter, as he broke past Forsythe and RB Ashton Jeanty to bring down Smith. It was Garrett's second sack of the day — his fourth multi-sack game of the season and third in the last four games — and part of the Browns' eight sacks of Smith.

"Super proud of him for where he is right now, but this isn't the final story yet," defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz said. "He's doing a really good job within the scheme and like I've told you guys before, I'm always most proud of the way he plays the run as opposed to how he rushes the passer. And there's a lot to be proud of, the way he rushes the passer. But to have the production he has, with the opportunities he's had and also with the attention that he receives, it's fun to watch."
