DE Myles Garrett's 2025 season had a storybook ending, sacking QB Joe Burrow for one final sack in the closing minutes of Week 18. With the sack, Garrett broke the NFL single-season sack record and capped off a filled with personal achievements that decorate his career and build his legacy.

After closing out the 2025 season claiming the NFL single-season sack record, Garrett was selected to the Associated Press First Team All-Pro for the 2025 season. The selection marks the fifth time in his nine-year career that Garrett has been chosen as a First Team All-Pro. He has also been voted to the Second Team All-Pro twice.

"That's one for the history books," S Grant Delpit said in December 2025 of Garrett's season. "I think he's going to be the greatest of all time when it's all said and done. So, looking back, in ten years or whatever when we're looking back at this, it's going to be special."

Garrett capped off the season with a historic milestone and added to the other accolades he earned along the way. He also broke the Browns single-season sack record that he set in 2021 and tied in 2022. He became the first player since 1982 to record 12 sacks in six consecutive seasons when he recorded his 12th sack of the season in Week 11, as well set the record for the most sacks by a player under the age of 30.

Garrett had three games this season with at least three sacks, with his best game of the season against the Patriots in Week 8 with five sacks. His five sacks in Week 8 not only set a season-high, but also broke his own Browns' record for the most sacks in a game. Garrett recorded at least a half of a sack in nine straight games, the longest streak of his career.

Defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz, who called Garret his "Spider-Man" and challenged Garrett in the offseason, believed that Garrett was on mission to have his best season in 2025.

"It's the best training camp I've seen (from Myles)," Schwartz said on Jan. 1. "So, I think that has something to do with the success that he's had. He's been very driven, he's been trying to carry the load, he's not afraid of the spotlight – he's been out in that. He's been a good leader for us. He's played the run well. I know I bang that drum probably too many times, but I'm just really proud of the way that he plays the run and he's been a wrecker on offense."

In addition to his 23 sacks, Garrett led the league with 33 tackles for loss during the regular season – and set a career high in tackles for loss. He totaled 60 tackles and 39 quarterback hits, as well as one pass defensed and three forced fumbles.

"I think you'd be hard pressed to find a more valuable player in the NFL," Schwartz said on Nov. 28.
