Elyria Catholic @ Bay
Records: Elyria Catholic 3-3; Bay 3-3
What: Great Lakes Conference Game
Date of Game: Friday, October 7
Kickoff: 7:00 p.m.
Location: Bay High School, 29230 Wolf Rd, Bay Village, OH 44140

Pregame Notes:
Elyria Catholic (3-3) is led by second year head coach Dave Stupka.  Elyria Catholic tallied a 7-4 record under Stupka in his first year with the program.

Bay (3-3) is led by the 2014 Cleveland Browns High School Coach of the Year and third year head coach Ron Rutt who led the Rockets to a 10-2 record in 2015.

Elyria Catholic enters the matchup after suffering a 26-23 comeback loss against Holy Name last week. The Panthers defense held the Green Wave to just a field goal in the first half, while the Elyria Catholic rushing attack put up 2 touchdowns.  Senior RB Daryl Davis led the attack on the ground with 2 touchdowns; however, the offense stalled in the second half.  Bay confidently comes into the game after beating Normandy last week 51-0. The Rockets also had a strong rushing attack last week, but were able to maintain that momentum throughout the game.  Senior RBs Sean Gettens and Sean Chambers both scored 2 touchdowns on the ground for the Rockets, while the defense put up their first shut out of the season against Normandy.

The last two weeks for these schools have been vastly different.  On one side, Elyria Catholic has lost both weeks by a total of 4 points.  While on the other side, Bay has scored 79 points and only given up 9 in two blowout wins.  So what will we get this week?  Will Bay continue to win in dominating fashion, or can Elyria Catholic come out on the winning side of a competitive game?

Good luck to both teams and stay tuned for a post-game report.
