Lutheran West at Columbia
Records: Columbia 6-1; Lutheran West 3-4
What: Patriot Athletic Conference Division game
Date of Game: Friday, October 17
Kickoff: 7:00 p.m.
Location: 14168 Columbia High School, West River Rd, Columbia Station, OH 44028

Pregame Notes:
Both teams enter the game 2-0 in Patriot Athletic Conference play.

Columbia (6-1) is led by head coach Jason Ward. Last season, the ninth year head coach led the Raiders to an undefeated 10-0 regular season, but lost in the first round of the Division V State Playoffs.

Lutheran West (3-4) is led by first year head coach Frank Petroff. Petroff spent the last two seasons as Lutheran West's defensive coordinator.

Last week, Lutheran West dominated Brooklyn to advance to 3-4 in the season and 2-0 in Patriot Athletic Conference (PAC) play. The Longhorns were led by sophomore quarterback Josh Ranc, who threw three touchdown passes--senior tight end Andrew O'Hara was on the receiving end of two Ranc touchdowns, and sophomore running back Chris Jones rushed for two touchdowns in the 35-0 victory over Brooklyn.

Much of Columbia's success can be attributed to their run game. As a whole, the team has racked up 290 carries for 2,676 yards rushing and 35 touchdowns. Senior running back Tristen Rindfleish leads the team with 110 carries for 1,132 yards rushing (10.3 avg.) and 14 touchdowns. On the other side of the ball, the Raiders' defense has been opportunistic, amassing 17 takeaways on the year.

Good luck to both teams and stay tuned for a post-game report.
