Holy Name Defeats Parma in Final Week of Regular Season Play

The game started off quickly as Holy Name's Wide Receiver Will Ehrbar took it to the house and gave the Green Waves their first touchdown. The Parma Redmen defense held on and kept the score 7-0 for the first quarter.

In the second quarter, running back Trevor Dotson had an impressive carry to take the Green Waves to the redzone. Shortly after the drive, Dotson drove the ball into the endzone to put Holy Name up 14-0. Parma responded with a fumble recovery and a touchdown by Running Back Gavin Ziol. The kick was no good which left the Redmen down 14-6.

Before the half, Holy Name put one more on the board thanks to wide receiver Andreaus Harhalos.

At half time both bands put on a great show with pump-up songs like "Jump" by Van Halen and "Africa" by Toto.

To start the third quarter, running back Robert Sherrod put the Green Waves up 28-6. Shortly after, Harhalos intercepted the ball and ran it back for a touchdown. To end the third, running back Andrew Rodriguez ran in the final Green Wave touchdown to put the team up 41-6.

Parma scored one more touchdown in the fourth thanks to wide receiver Dyal Herb.

Holy Name celebrated their win with their alma mater and a final senior send-off talk in the locker room.

Of course no Friday night is complete without some great volunteers. Four Parma Senior High School fathers were out working the chains Friday night in order to help with the hockey team's funding. All money they make goes directly towards helping their sons' hockey program.

Holy Name Head Coach Dan Wondolowski and quarterback Joe Carter will be honored at the Browns vs. Jaguars home game on November 19th.

Congratulations to both Holy Name and Parma for their final game of regular season play!
