Two Browns rookies earned accolades for their successful first seasons in the NFL.

The Pro Football Writers of America (PFWA) announced their 2025 All-Rookie team on Tuesday, with DT Mason Graham and LB Carson Schwesinger voted into the team.

Graham recorded 49 tackles, seven tackles for loss, half of a sack, four quarterback hits and four passes defensed in his first season with the Browns. He helped anchor a defense that finished fourth in the NFL in total defense, as he started all 17 games of the 2025 season.

His seven tackles for loss are tied for sixth among all NFL rookies, while his 49 tackles were first among all rookie defensive tackles this season.

"He works so hard," defensive line coach Jacques Cesaire said in December 2025. "I don't think people realize just how hard that guy works and how detailed he is in his rush plan and how smart he is. You watch him before the games, he's calling out where all the runs are going, every single play. He has a good relationship with Carson (Schwesinger). He does a great job at the point of attack, away from the point of attack. He can shimmy through all the trash to close and make a play on the running back. […] I'm happy that we have that guy. He's done a heck of a job. He's going to be a great pro for a long time, and I think he's just scratching the surface of his potential."

Schwesinger led all rookies this season with his 146 tackles and 11 tackles for loss and was tied for second with two interceptions. He recorded double-digit tackles in seven games during the 2025 season, including a stretch of six consecutive games – the longest streak in the NFL this season. His seven double-digit tackle games were the most among NFL rookies.

His 146 tackles are the most by a Browns rookie since the team's return in 1999, while his two interceptions are the most by a Browns rookie since CB Denzel Ward recorded three in 2018.

"His ability to stay in the moment is unique," linebackers coach Jason Tarver said in October 2025. "When you have that, you can take information and make those little changes quickly. He has that. He goes the next play quickly. He's very conscious of everything that goes on around him quickly. And when you have that, you can make adjustments and remember everything that happens to you. And that's really unique."

The PFWA has honored an All-Rookie team every season since 1974. Only players who are in their first season of pro football are designated as rookies by the NFL and are eligible for PFWA rookie awards. Players designated as NFL first-year players who have been active in another pro football league or who have NFL experience, including preseason training camp in a previous season, are not eligible for All-Rookie awards.
