After making his second consecutive start in Week 13 against the 49ers, QB Shedeur Sanders will start Week 14 against the Titans.

Head coach Kevin Stefanski confirmed Sanders would start his third consecutive game after the Browns' 26-8 loss to the 49ers.

"Obviously he's battling like all of our guys are battling," Stefanski said. "I know there's plays he wants back, but we'll look at it and correct it."

Sanders completed 16 of 25 passing attempts for 149 yards and one touchdown and took three sacks for a loss of 34 yards. Sanders' longest completion of the day came on the 34-yard touchdown pass to TE Harold Fannin Jr.— a play both Sanders and Stefanski said they have been practicing.

"I thought that was really well executed and thought it was a good call by (offensive coordinator) Tommy (Rees) in that situation," Stefanski said. "Felt really strongly about that call, that play. We've kind of been waiting to get to it for a couple of weeks. Had the right time for it."

Sanders saw his first regular-season action in the second half of Week 11 against the Ravens after QB Dillon Gabriel was ruled out for a concussion. Sanders earned his first start in Week 12 against the Raiders, in which he led the Browns to a 24-10 victory over Las Vegas.

While they were unable to secure the win over the 49ers in Week 13, Sanders continued to showcase his poise in the pocket and ability to connect with his pass catchers – particularly in the first half. Sanders ended the first half completing 8 of 11 passes for 96 yards and a touchdown. However, Sanders also knows there is still work to be done to improve his connections with his receivers and execute the play calls.

"There's definitely things on film that I am going to look back and want to get back and want to see," Sanders said. "But at least moving forward, I know what we can do differently going about the week and being able to get fully prepared for every possibility."

He will have that chance once again in Week 14 when the Browns welcome the Titans to Huntington Bank Field.
