Baker Mayfield accomplished many feats in his first year for the Browns last season. He broke the all-time rookie quarterback record with 27 touchdowns, led all rookies with 3,725 passing yards and won the hearts of fans desperate for the Browns to find a franchise quarterback.
Now, another accolade can be added from Mayfield's rookie year. The 2018 No. 1 overall pick landed at No. 50 in NFL Network's Top 100 Players of 2018 list, compiled after players around the league vote on who they think are the top players from each year.
Mayfield is the second Browns player to make the list after wide receiver Jarvis Landry checked in at No. 84, and he likely won't be the last with Myles Garrett and Odell Beckham Jr. still yet to crack the rankings. He also was ranked ahead of other esteemed quarterbacks such as Deshaun Watson, Matt Ryan, Kirk Cousins and Cam Newton.
NFL Network's series continues for the next four nights at 9 p.m., revealing 10 players at a time.
