The Cleveland Browns have signed DE Derek Barnett. In addition, the team placed DE Alex Wright on injured reserve.
Barnett (6-3, 260) is in his 10th NFL season out of Tennessee. Originally selected by Philadelphia in the first round in 2017, Barnett has appeared in 112 career games with the Eagles (2017-23) and Texans (2023-25). He has recorded 216 career tackles, 34 sacks, five forced fumbles and four fumble recoveries.
Wright has appeared in 51 games since joining the Browns as a third-round pick in 2022. Last season, he set a career high with 5.5 sacks.
