Kenston @ Medina
Records: Kenston 1-0; Medina 1-0
What: Nonconference game
Date of Game: Friday, September 2
Kickoff: 7:00 p.m.
Location: Ken Dukes Stadium, 777 E Union St, Medina, OH 44256

Pregame Notes:

Kenston (1-0) is led by sixth-year head coach Jeff Grubich who tallied a 3-7 record in 2015.

Medina (1-0) is led by fifth-year head coach Dan Sutherland, who comes off a 4-6 record in 2015.

Kenston enters the matchup following a 21-17 victory over Amherst Steele in week one. Kenston trailed at halftime 10-0, but answered back with 21 points in the second half.  Senior RB James Thigpen led the way for the young Kenston team with over 200 yards rushing and scored all three Bomber touchdowns to seal the deal.  Medina comes into week 2 feeling confident after a 55-0 win over Lakewood last week.  The rushing attack from Bees was too much for their opponent to handle.  Senior RB Jimmy Daw got going quickly, rushing for four touchdowns in the 1st quarter and earning one more in the 2nd quarter, while Senior QB John Curtis and Junior FB Keith Tecker each scored rushing touchdowns of their own.

This week 2 matchup pits two teams who both feel they can come away with a win after its all said and done. The key to the game will be to see which team can keep their playmaker running back hot. Will the Bombers be able to keep the momentum from their second half going, or will the Bees have another first half out pouring?

Good luck to both teams and stay tuned for a post-game report.
