Storylines to Watch
- Joe Flacco's first game at quarterback — The Browns announced QB Joe Flacco as their starting quarterback ahead of the final week of the preseason, using the week of practice as a dress rehearsal for Week 1 of the regular season. Flacco did not play in the first two preseason games, but took a majority of the first set of reps during joint practices with the Panthers and Eagles. As the Browns prepare for the first week of the regular season, Flacco's veteran presence at the helm of the offense and experience in the league are key elements that will play a role in the success of the Browns' offensive unit.
- Which starters get playing time in final preseason game — Through the first two weeks of the preseason, a majority of the Browns' starters and veterans have not played in the preseason games. Head coach Kevin Stefanski made decisions on which players would play in each game depending on what the individual player needed to prepare for the beginning of the 2025 season. However, with one final tune-up left before the regular season begins on Sept. 7, the Browns will likely play a number of projected starters and veterans against the Rams to give them that game action.
